1.Prepare the turmeric

For flavoring, the options are based on your personal preference. In the same pan add grated ginger, perhaps a quarter inch of ginger. Throw in a half-inch cinnamon stick for a nice spicy add-on. Cinnamon has its own healing properties.


3.Use activators

Finally, add 1 teaspoon of crushed black pepper. This is important as it is an activator for curcumin. Let the water simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off the flame.

Add a spoonful of ghee or coconut oil to ramp up the fat content and activate the curcumin.


4.Add sweetener

For those who need a sweetener, use a no-sugar substitute or perhaps even maple syrup.
